EFEK UMUR PEMOTONGAN PADA PRODUKSI BIOMASSA DAN KADAR NUTRISI RUMPUT GAJAH BIOGRASS (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Biograss) PADA PEMOTONGAN KETUJUH
Abstract
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek umur pemotongan pada produksi biomassa dan kadar nutrisi rumput Gajah Biograss (Pennisetum purpureum cv Biograss) pada pemotongan ketujuh. Metode yang dipakai dalam kajian ini yaitu eksperimental (percobaan) dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut yakni UP30= umur pemotongan 30 hari, UP60 = umur pemotongan 60 hari, UP90 = umur pemotongan 90 hari. Hasil kajian menampilkan, produksi biomassa segar tertinggi pada UP 90 hari yaitu 54,09 ton/ha, produksi bahan kering tertinggi pada UP 90 hari yaitu 26,10 ton/ha, kadar BK tertinggi pada UP 90 hari yaitu 24,37%, kadar BO tertinggi pada UP 60 hari yaitu 84,91%, kadar PK tertinggi pada UP 30 hari yaitu 12,52%, kadar SK tertinggi pada UP 90 hari yaitu 25,33%. Hasil analisis persamaan statistik menampilkan perlakuan umur pemotongan berefek sangat nyata (P<0,01) pada produksi biomassa dan kadar nutrisi rumput Gajah Biograss. Kesimpulan dari kajian ini yakni produksi biomassa, kadar bahan kering, bahan organik dan serat kasar pada rumput Gajah Biograss meningkat seiring bertambahnya umur pemotongan dan kadar protein kasar menurun seiring meningkatnya umur pemotongan dan umur pemotongan 90 hari merupakan umur pemotongan terbaik.
This study aims to determine the effect of cutting age on biomass production and nutrient content of Biograss Elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv Biograss) at the seventh cutting. The method used in this research is experimental (experiment) with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 4 replicates. The treatments were CA30 = 30 days cutting age, CA60 = 60 days cutting age, CA90 = 90 days cutting age. The results showed that the highest fresh biomass production at CA90 days was 54.09 tons/ha, the highest dry matter production at CA 90 days was 26.10 tons/ha, the highest Dry Matter content at CA 90 days was 24.37%, the highest Organic Matter content at CA 60 days was 84.91%, the highest Crude Protein content at CA 30 days was 12.52%, the highest Crude Fiber content at UP 90 days was 25.33%. The results of statistical equation analysis showed that the treatment of cutting age had a very significant effect (P <0.01) on biomass production and nutrient content of Biograss Elephant grass. The conclusion of this study is that biomass production, dry matter content, organic matter and crude fiber in Biograss Elephant grass increases with increasing cutting age and crude protein content decreases with increasing cutting age and 90 days cutting age is the best cutting age.
