Abstract

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penambahan tepung semak bunga putih (Chromolaena odorata) sebagai aditif pakan herbal terhadap performa produksi ayam ras pedaging. Sebanyak 200 ekor broiler umur sehari dengan rata-rata bobot awal 38,4 g digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan dan lima ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah T1 (kontrol): pakan komersial starter dan finisher standar, sedangkan T2, T3, dan T4 masing-masing ditambahkan tepung Chromolaena odorata sebanyak 5%, 10%, dan 15%. Variabel utama yang diamati meliputi konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi pakan, dan produksi karkas. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam (ANOVA) untuk RAL, dan perbedaan antar perlakuan diuji lebih lanjut menggunakan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung semak bunga putih dalam pakan komersial memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap performa produksi dan produksi karkas. Konsumsi pakan relatif stabil, namun pertambahan bobot badan cenderung menurun seiring dengan peningkatan konsentrasi tepung semak bunga putih, sementara konversi pakan mengalami perbaikan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tepung Chromolaena odorata dapat ditambahkan ke dalam pakan komersial broiler untuk meningkatkan performa produksinya. 

 

ABSTRACT

This study aims to evaluate the effect of adding white flower bush powder (Chromolaena odorata) as an herbal feed additive on the production performance of broiler chickens. A total of 200 day-old broiler with an average initial weight of 38.4 grams were used in this study. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and five replications. The treatment given was T1 (control): standard commercial starter and finisher feed, while T2, T3, and T4 each added 5%, 10%, and 15% Chromolaena odorata powder. The main variables observed included feed consumption, final body weight, feed conversion (FCR), and carcass weight. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) for CRD, and differences between treatments were further tested using Duncan's Multiple Range Test at a significance level of 5%. The results showed that the addition of white flower bush powder in commercial feed had a significantly effect (P<0.01) on the production performance and carcass production of broilers. Feed consumption was relatively stable, however body weight tended to decrease with increasing white flower bush powder concentration, while feed conversion improved. This research concludes that Chromolaena odorata powder can be added to commercial broiler feed to improve production performance.
