PENGARUH LAMA WAKTU PEMBERIAN KEJUTAN DINGIN PADA PEMBENTUKAN INDIVIDU TRIPLOID IKAN PATIN (Pangasius sp)
Abstract
Tujuan kegiatan penelitian adalahmengetahui pengaruh lama waktu kejutan
suhu terhadap pembentukan individu
triploid pada ikan patin, tingkat derajat
penetasan dan kelangsungan hidup larva
ikan patin Perlakuan lama waktu kejutan
suhu dingin yang diberikan masing-masing
120 detik, 180 detik dan 240 detik pada suhu
4oC pada fase meiosis 1. Masing-masing
perlakuan dilakukan sebanyak 3 kali. Penetasan
dan pemeliharaan larva dilakukan
pada akuarium serta hapa untuk kegiatan
pendederan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa perlakuan lama waktu kejutan suhu
dingin memberikan hasil yang nyata terhadap
pembentukan individu triploid pada
ikan patin (P<0,05). Persentase individu
triploid tertinggi diperoleh pada lama
waktu kejutan 78,33%. Selain itu tingkat
pertumbuhan benih ikan patin hingga
hari ke-28 menunjukkan peningkatan sejalan
dengan peningkatan persentase individu
triploid dari masing-masing perlakuan.
Laju pertumbuhan tertinggi diperoleh dari
perlakuan lama waktu kejutan suhu 4oC
sebesar 10,40 %.
