Kandungan Lemak Total Nannochloropsis sp. pada Fotoperiode yang Berbeda
Abstract
Nannochloropsis sp. merupakan jenis mikroalga yang memiliki kandungan lemak yang cukup tinggi. Cahaya sangat diperlukan oleh mikroalga untuk menjalankan proses fotosintesis. Kurangnya kebutuhan cahaya untuk aktivitas fotosintesis menyebabkan proses fotosintesis terhambat. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh fotoperiode terhadap kandungan lemak pada Nannochloropsis sp. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari 2012 bertempat di laboratorium Zooplankton BBPBL Lampung. Data dianalisis menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Nannochloropsis sp. dikultur dengan kepadatan 35x105 sel/ml dan diberi perlakuan 6T (Terang):18G (Gelap), 12T:12G, dan 18T:6G. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan 18T:6G memiliki kepadatan yang baik dan memiliki kandungan lemak yang paling tinggi pada fase awal (9,62%) dan akhir stasioner (10,62%). Berdasarkan uji ANOVA pada fase akhir stasioner, pemberian fotoperiode yang berbeda berpengaruh terhadap kandungan lemak Nannochoropsis sp. Hasil uji BNT kandungan lemak pada fase akhir stasioner menunjukkan perlakuan 6T:18G berbeda nyata terhadap 18T:6G. Hubungan korelasi antara kepadatan dan kandungan lemak menunjukkan kandungan lemak meningkat seiring bertambahnya jumlah kepadatan Nannochoropsis. sp.
