EVALUASI KESESUAIAN PERAIRAN UNTUK BUDIDAYA IKAN NILA (Oreochromis niloticus) DI KAWASAN PESISIR DESAKANDANG BESI KECAMATAN KOTA AGUNG BARAT KABUPATEN TANGGAMUS
Abstract
Desa Kandang Besi merupakan salah satu desa yang potensial untuk budidaya perairan yang dilintasi oleh aliran Sungai Way Belu yang beradadi kawasan Pesisir Kecamatan Kota Agung Barat Kabupaten Tanggamus. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat kesesuaian perairan untuk budidaya ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus)serta infrastrukur yang mendukung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan cara survey. Analisis kesesuaian
perairan dilakukan dengan metode matching dan scoring. Teknik mengumpulan data melalui observasi dan pengisian angket oleh 15 pembudidaya yang dipilih dengan cara accidental sampling sedangkan penentuan lokasi ditentukan dengan purposiv. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perairan memiliki tingkat kesesuaian disebut Cukup
Sesuai (S2) dan Sesuai Marginal (S3). Cukup Sesuai menunjukan perairan tersebut Cukup sesuai untuk lokasi budidaya sedangkan Sesuai marginal menunjukkan perlu penanganan lebih lanjut jika ingin dijadikan lokasi budidaya. Variabel primer berupa kuesioner menunjukan bahwa sebagian masyarakat sudah cukup mengenal budidaya ikan nila dengan kepemilikan kolam secara pribadi sebanyak 53,28%.
