SUBSTITUSI TEPUNG IKAN DENGAN TEPUNG DAGING DAN TEPUNG TULANG UNTUK PERTUMBUHAN LOBSTER AIR TAWAR (Cherax quadricarinatus)

Abstract

Lobster air tawar (Cherax quadricarinatus) merupakan jenis udang yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi dan budidayanya dapat menggunakan pakan buatan. Namun, pakan buatan yang dibutuhkan tergantung pada tepung ikan (TI) (fish meal) yang merupakan produk impor dengan harga yang tinggi. Tepung daging dan tulang (TDT) (meat and bone meal)  dapat menggantikan tepung ikan sebagai bahan baku pakan buatan. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengkaji pengaruh substitusi tepung ikan dengan tepung daging dan tulang pada pakan dengan proporsi yang berbeda pada pertumbuhan dan efisiensi pakan lobster air tawar. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan perlakuan 100% TI; 75% TI + 25% TDT; 50% TI + 50% TDT; 25% TI + 75% TDT dan 100% TDT. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proporsi tepung ikan dengan tepung daging dan tulang yang berimbang dapat memberikan pertumbuhan berat mutlak pada lobster air tawar sebesar 3,87 gr dan efisiensi pakan sebesar 21,94%. Tepung daging dan tulang dapat dijadikan bahan formulasi alternatif selain tepung ikan dalam akuakultur.
