PERUBAHAN JARINGAN ORGAN IKAN KOMET (Carrasius auratus) PERUBAHAN JARINGAN ORGAN IKAN KOMET (Carrasius auratus) YANG DI INFEKSI DENGAN Aeromonas hydrophila
Abstract
Infeksi penyakit khususnya yang disebabkan oleh bakteri patogen pada ikan hias yang dijual di toko ikan hias sangat mudah terjadi dan merugikan penjual dan konsumen ikan hias. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi bakteri patogen pada ikan komet (Carassius auratus) dari toko ikan hias di Kota Bandar Lampung dan mengamati perubahan jaringan organ ikan yang terinfeksi oleh bakteri patogen tersebut. Sampel ikan diperoleh dari toko ikan hias di daerah Rajabasa. Sampel bakteri patogen diisolasi dari tubuh ikan komet dan Postulat Koch dilakukan untuk memastikan bakteri tersebut sebagai patogen pada ikan komet. Identifikasi bakteri dilakukan di Stasiun Karantina Ikan Pengendalian Mutu dan Keamanan Hasil Perikanan Kelas I Lampung. Perubahan jaringan organ seperti insang, jantung, hati, ginjal, otot dan usus diamati pada tingkat konsentrasi bakteri (105-108 CFU/ikan). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Aeromonas hydrophila teridentifikasi sebagai bakteri patogen pada ikan komet. Perubahan gejala klinis dan jaringan organ menunjukkan kerusakan yang berbeda pada tingkat konsentrasi yang berbeda. Perubahan gejala klinis mulai tampak tetapi tidak diikuti dengan kerusakan jaringan organ terjadi pada konsentrasi bakteri 105 CFU/ikan. Kerusakan jaringan organ semakin parah dengan meningkatnya konsentrasi bakteri. Kerusakan jaringan organ kronis, sub akut dan akut dapat teramati dengan jelas pada perbedaan konsentrasi bakteri antara 106, 107dan 108 CFU/ikan. Infeksi Aeromonas hydrophila yang merugikan usaha penjualan ikan hias memerlukan tindakan penanggulangan seperti karantina, biosekuritas, vaksinasi dan pemberian probiotik atau prebiotik.
