KANDUNGAN PROTEIN TOTAL (CRUDE PROTEIN) Brachionus plicatilis DENGAN PEMBERIAN PAKAN Nannochloropsis sp. PADA KONDISI STRESS LINGKUNGAN MIKRO (MICRO ENVIRONMENTAL STRESS)
Abstract
Brachionus plicatilis merupakan zooplankton yang mudah dikultur secara massal dengan kandungan protein yang cukup tinggi dan digunakan sebagai pakan alami. Salah satu metode untuk optimalisasi kandungan nutrisi pakan alami dilakukan dengan stres lingkungan mikro atau MES (micro environmental stress). Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepadatan dan kandungan protein total (crude protein) B. plicatilis setelah diberi pakan berupa Nannochloropsis sp. dengan perlakuan MES. Penelitian menggunakan 4 perlakuan yaitu perbedaan salinitas dan perbedaan persentase nitrogen berdasarkan dosis baku. Perlakuan tersebut adalah A (kultur B. plicatilis dengan pakan Nannochloropsis sp. pada salinitas 28-33 ppt dan nitrogen 100%), B (kultur B. plicatilis dengan pakan Nannochloropsis sp. pada salinitas 28-33 ppt dan nitrogen 50%), C (kultur B. plicatilis dengan pakan Nannochloropsis sp.pada salinitas 38-40 ppt dan nitrogen 100%)dan D (kultur B. plicatilis dengan pakan Nannochloropsis sp.pada salinitas 38-40 ppt dan nitrogen 50%) dan hasil dianalisis dengan Chi- square.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MES dapat meningkatkan kepadatan B. plicatilis tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap kandungan protein total B. plicatilis. Kepadatan dan kandungan protein total tertinggi terletak pada kultur B. plicatilis dengan pakan Nannochloropsis sp.pada salinitas 38-40 ppt dan nitrogen 100%. Hubungan antara kepadatan dan kandungan protein total B. plicatilis adalah linier positif yang memungkinkan peningkatan produksi B. plicatilis dengan perlakuan salinitas dan dosis pupuk yang optimal.
