Penerapan Teknik Imotilisasi Benih Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus) Menggunakan Ekstrak Daun Bandotan (Ageratum conyzoides) Pada Transportasi Basah
Abstract
Transportasi benih nila (Oreochromis niloticus) merupakan tahapan penting dalam keberhasilan pembesaran nila. Pemanfaatan bahan pembius lokal seperti daun bandotan (Ageratum conyzoides) dilakukan untuk mengantisipasi permasalahan transportasi basah berupa aktivitas metabolisme benih yang tinggi yang menyebabkan stres dan sintasan benih menjadi rendah. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi ekstrak daun bandotan yang paling baik untuk teknik imotilisasi dan pengaruhnya terhadap tingkat sintasan benih ikan nila. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan perlakuan A (0 mg/L), B (1,585 mg/L ekstrak daun bandotan), C (2,512 mg/L ekstrak daun bandotan), dan D (3,982 mg/L ekstrak daun bandotan), masing-masing perlakuan 6 ulangan. Parameter yang diamati adalah uji toksisitas, kecepatan pingsan, lama pulih sadar, tingkat kelangsungan hidup, kecepatan pertumbuhan dan kualitas air (suhu, oksigen terlarut dan pH). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi ekstrak daun bandotan antar perlakuan berbeda nyata (P>0,01) terhadap periode imotilisasi, lama waktu pulih sadar, sintasan setelah transportasi dan pemeliharaan. Konsentrasi ekstrak daun bandotan antar perlakuan tidak berbeda nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kecepatan pertumbuhan harian benih nila. Konsentrasi yang sesuai untuk teknik imotilisasi sebesar 3,982 mg/L dengan tingkat kelangsungan hidup benih 95,55%.
