Substitusi Tepung Onggok Singkong Sebagai Bahan Baku Pakan Pada Budidaya Nila (Oreochromis niloticus)
Abstract
Faktor penting dalam budidaya nila (Oreochromis niloticus) adalah ketersediaan pakan dalam jumlah yang memadai. Namun kebutuhan tepung sebagai bahan baku pakan ikan sebagian besar belum terpenuhi dari produksi didalam negeri. Dibutuhkan bahan pakan alternatif untuk mengatasi kebutuhan bahan baku pakan ikan. Provinsi Lampung adalah produsen singkong sebagai bahan baku tepung tapioka. Limbah tepung tapioka berupa onggok singkong belum dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan pakan untuk budidaya ikan. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui persentase substitusi tepung onggok singkong dalam pakan nila. Rancangan acak lengkap dengan 6 perlakuan antara lain 0% tanpa onggok, 5% onggok, 10% onggok, 15% onggok, 20% onggok, dan 25% onggok. Analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) digunakan untuk membedakan persentase substitusi terbaik berdasarkan pertambahan berat mutlak, laju pertumbuhan harian, kelangsungan hidup, dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan onggok singkong dengan proporsi 5% memberikan kandungan nutrisi dan laju pertumbuhan terbaik (12,45 gram). Kandungan nutrisi dan laju pertumbuhan yang dihasilkan adalah protein (31,51%), lemak (12,83%), abu (11,86%), serat kasar (20,14%), (23,66%), dan kadar air (10,22%).
