Indonesian Journal of Socio Economics publishes with specific topics of interest, including (but are not confined to):  development and economic policy, agribusiness, all aspects of economy, agricultural extension and communication, environmental management,  community development,  rural and regional development, rural sociology, and all topics related to social economics of agriculture.

Peer Review Process

The suitability of papers for publication in Indonesian Journal of Socio Economics (IJSE)  is determined by the editorial board. The editor-in-chief handles all correspondence with the author and makes the final decision as to whether the paper is recommended for acceptance or rejection, or needs to be returned to the author for a revision.

A reviewer may not be from the same institution as the author. Reviewers examine the paper and return it with their reports to the editor-in-chief as soon as possible, usually within 3 weeks. The journal operates a double-blind peer review process in which the anonymity of the authors and the reviewers is guaranteed.

The reviewer recommends either a paper will be accepted, accepted after revision, resubmit after a revision, or be rejected. If both reviewers recommend either an acceptance or a rejection, then the decision is unanimous. When their opinions differ, then the editor-in-chief will ask a third reviewer or associate editor to decide whether the paper is accepted or rejected. If a paper is not suitable for publication, the corresponding author will be notified complied with the reasons of rejection.

Publication Frequency

The Indonesian Journal of Socio Economics has been published annually (from 2006 to 2012, formerly known as : Journal Social Ekonomika) and since 2018 will be published twice a year (June  and December).

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Indonesian Journal of Socio Economics is an open access journal published by Agribusiness Department, the Faculty of Agriculture, Lampung University.  Indonesian Journal of Socio Economics (IJSE) publishes papers concerned with the advance scientific works on agricultural sciences throughout the world. The journal publishes original research findings related to strategic and applied studies in all aspects of social-economics of agriculture, as well as reviews of science, books or other publications that are relevant its focus and scope.
