PENGARUH KOMPOS LIMBAH SOLID KELAPA SAWIT TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT KELAPA SAWIT (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) PADA TANAH BEKAS TAMBANG EMAS
Abstract
Palm oil is one of the plantation commodities that plays an important role in economic activities in Indonesia as a producer of vegetable oil, which is much needed by the industrial sector. The use of ex-gold mining land for oil palm nurseries still needs to be considered because ex-gold mining land still has problems such as low nutrient content. Utilization of palm oil solid waste compost can be used as organic fertilizer to overcome this problem. This study aims to determine the use of ex-gold mining soil media treated with palm oil solid waste compost for the growth of oil palm seedlings. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Parameters for observation L0: Without composting palm oil solid waste, L1: 200 grams/polybag, L2: 300 grams/polybag, L3: 400 grams/polybag, L4: 500 grams/polybag. The data obtained from the research results were analyzed statistically with analysis of variance (ANOVA). If the data obtained has a significant effect, then it is continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that the application of palm oil solid waste compost had a significant effect on the growth of oil palm in the parameters of seedling height, stem diameter, leaf length, fresh weight and dry weight of plants with the best treatment, namely L4 (500 gram/polybag palm oil solid waste compost).
