FOCUS AND SCOPE

JOPFE: Journal of People, Forest and Environment publishes state of the art results of primary findings and synthesized articles containing significant contribution to science and its theoretical application in areas related to people, forest and environment research and its broad linkage. Manuscripts in Bahasa Indonesia or English are welcome.

The journal's scope includes, but is not limited to Human, Forest, and Environment, such as:

  1. Forest Management, research on the planning, implementation, and evaluation of sustainable forest resource management practices, including inventory and efficient utilization.
  2. Forest Conservation, studies on biodiversity protection, restoration of degraded forest ecosystems, and management of conservation areas.
  3. Silviculture, focuses on the theory and practice of forest cultivation, including planting, stand maintenance, and tree breeding techniques.
  4. Forest Products, research on innovation, processing, and value added of timber and non-timber forest products, as well as forest product technology.
  5. Forest Ecology, analysis of interactions between organisms and the abiotic environment in forest ecosystems, including population dynamics and biogeochemical cycles.
  6. Forestry Policy and Politics, a critical examination of forestry policies, regulations, and governance that influence forestry sector decision-making.
  7. Ecotourism, the study of the development and management of responsible nature tourism that focuses on conservation and community well-being.
  8. Agroforestry, an integrated land-use system that combines trees/forests with agricultural/livestock components for dual economic and ecological benefits.
  9. Social Forestry, research into the mechanisms and impacts of programs that empower local/indigenous communities in equitable forest resource management.
  10. Environmental Services and Climate Change, focuses on assessing the value and management of forest ecosystem services (e.g., carbon, water, and soil protection), as well as the role of forests in climate change mitigation and adaptation.

JOPFE welcomes manuscripts in Indonesian or English. Accepted manuscript types include, but are not limited to, primary findings articles, synthesis articles, and reviews that make significant contributions to the field.
