Penyuluhan Upaya Peningkatan Madu Di Desa Mataram, Kecamatan Gading Rejo, Kabupaten Pringsewu

Abstract

Honey bee cultivation among the community is increasingly being carried out because honey has many benefits, besides the benefits for humans, honey also functions as a pollinator, namely: as a pollinating agent. Plants to produce good fruit require an optimal pollinator to produce good quality fruit. The role of bees for human life is very much because in addition to human needs for honey bees are also needed by plants, therefore honey bee cultivation is very important. To produce quality honey and optimal results, it is necessary to increase knowledge to the public about honey cultivation, one of the activities to educate farmers about increasing honey production is through community service activities. This service was carried out in Mataram Village, Gading Rejo District, Pringsewu Regency. The results of this service indicate that the honey harvest at OTM has not been maximized because there is still a lack of public knowledge about honey cultivation, after this counseling it is hoped that public understanding about honey bee cultivation can increase and increase honey productivity. Service activities are expected to be in accordance with the program targets that have been set, namely increasing honey productivity in OTM and more people being involved in honey cultivation activities
