Conflict of Interest

Jurnal Agricultural Biosystem Engineering (JABE) journal requires all parties involved in the publication process including authors, reviewers, and editors to disclose any conflicts of interest they may have. Transparency regarding competing interests safeguards the objectivity of the peer-review process and enables readers to evaluate a work fairly. The journal adheres to the guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authors must disclose all potential conflicts of interest in a "Conflict of Interest Statement" section, placed at the end of the manuscript, preceding the list of references. Authors are also required to declare all research funding sources in a "Funding Statement" section, including the role of the funding body if any in the conduct of the research or the preparation of the manuscript. If no conflicts of interest exist, authors must still include a statement confirming this. Authors who become aware of a conflict of interest after submitting or publishing their manuscript must promptly notify the editor.

Should an undisclosed conflict of interest be discovered during the review process or following publication, the journal will address the matter in accordance with its policy on "Allegations of Research Misconduct." Depending on the severity of the case, the journal may require the author to add a conflict-of-interest statement, issue a correction, or if the undisclosed conflict of interest compromises the validity of the work retract the published article.
