POTENTIAL GROWTH OF Gynura procumbens CUTTINGS IN NURSERY AFTER DELIVERY PROCESS IN DIFFERENT PACKAGING
Abstract
The research aimed to evaluate the durability and potential growth of Gynura procumbens cutting after the delivery process in different packaging types. The study was conducted using a factorial completely randomized design (3x3). The first factor was cutting delivery which consisted of no delivery (D0), 104 km delivery length/in two days (D1), and 988 km length/in three days (D2). The second factor was the packaging which consisted of no packaging (P0), dry paper (P1), moistened paper (P2), and bubble wrap plastic(P3). The result showed that the physical condition of G. procumbens cuttings differed after the delivery and packaging, but there were no significant differences in statistics. G. procumbens growth rate was 95% to 100% without being affected by the delivery process or packaging types. The delivery process affects plant height and the number of leaves in 14 days after planting. G. procumbens cuttings have good durability during the delivery process with different packaging types and the vegetative growth rate was not affected.
