Research Ethics Statement
If the research involves living subjects (humans, animals, or other living organisms), authors are required to include an appropriate Research Ethics Statement when submitting their manuscript.
To maintain anonymity during the double-blind peer review process, the ethical statement should not be included in the manuscript file but must be provided separately within the submission system.
Manuscripts submitted without an adequate ethical statement will be returned to the authors and will not be processed further until a clear and explicit statement is provided.
Required Information in Ethical Statement
- Ethics Approval
Authors must state the name of the institutional or national ethics committee that approved the study, including the approval number or ID if available. - Waiver or Exemption
If ethical approval was waived or not required, authors must state the reason. - Animal or Biological Research
Authors must confirm that all procedures followed institutional and national guidelines for the care and use of experimental organisms. - Human Participants
Authors must confirm that research followed the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and that written informed consent was obtained from participants. - Identifiable Data
Authors must confirm that consent for publication was obtained for identifiable materials such as photographs, videos, or personal data. - Field Experiments or Machinery Trials
Authors should provide permit or registration numbers issued by relevant institutions when applicable.
Double-Blind Peer Review Requirement
To preserve reviewer anonymity, ethical statements must not be included in the manuscript file. Instead, they should be completed in the submission system under the designated section.
This information is not shared with reviewers. If verification is required, reviewers may contact the editorial office for clarification.
Participant Consent to Publish
Researchers must not publish identifiable individual data without obtaining specific written consent from the individual or their legal representative.
This requirement also applies to identifiable materials such as:
- Photographs
- Videos
- Interviews
- Personal case descriptions
- X-ray or imaging data
- Genetic information
For deceased individuals, consent must be obtained from the next of kin.
Authors are not required to submit proof of consent, but must declare that informed consent has been obtained within the Mandatory Author Declaration.
