System Recovery and Data Restoration – July 2026

On 29 July 2026, the Open Journal Systems (OJS) of Jurnal Teknik Pertanian Lampung (JTEP-L) experienced a cybersecurity incident that affected the journal's system and editorial data. On 30 July 2026, the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Universitas Lampung, carried out maintenance and system recovery. By 31 July 2026, the OJS system had been restored and was accessible again. However, the recovered data was only available up to 23 May 2026, resulting in the loss of editorial records and submission data from 23 May to 29 July 2026.

The incident affected ongoing manuscript processes, including submission, peer review, revision, and editorial correspondence, causing delays in several editorial processes. The June 2026 issue was also affected and was subsequently restored and republished on 31 July and 1 August 2026. To support the recovery of affected manuscript records, the editorial team has been contacting authors and reviewers individually to request available manuscript files, review reports, and other relevant documents so that the editorial process can be continued as closely as possible from its previous stage.

The data recovery process is still ongoing and is being carried out gradually due to the substantial volume of affected manuscripts and editorial records. The JTEP-L editorial team continues to work with authors and reviewers to restore the available records and ensure the continuity of the affected editorial processes. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all authors, reviewers, and stakeholders throughout the recovery process.
