Abstract

Reliable evidence on the determinants of community pro-environmental behavior remains limited in the Program Kampung Iklim (ProKlim). This study developed and validated a regression model examining environmental knowledge, pro-environmental attitude, and pro-environmental action among 100 residents of Durbuk Village, Pamekasan Regency, selected through stratified random sampling. A 40-item instrument was assessed for validity using Pearson product-moment correlation and reliability using Cronbach’s alpha, followed by classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression. All items were valid (r > 0.196), with reliability coefficients ranging from 0.623 to 0.941. The model satisfied the normality assumption (Asymp. Sig. = 0.154), showed no multicollinearity (VIF = 1.716–1.892), and exhibited no heteroscedasticity. Knowledge, attitude, and action jointly significantly predicted pro-environmental behavior (F = 114.83; p < 0.001), with all three variables demonstrating significant positive partial effects. Attitude was the strongest determinant (β = 0.427). The validated model provides an empirically grounded basis for prioritizing village-level environmental interventions under ProKlim. Methodologically, the study integrates item-level validity and reliability assessment with explicit classical assumption testing, enhancing transparency in ProKlim regression research. Future studies should examine the model’s generalizability across ProKlim villages and incorporate institutional and infrastructural factors.
