Plagiarism Policy

1. General Statement
Jurnal Teknologi & Industri Hasil Pertanian upholds academic integrity and ethical publishing practices. All submitted manuscripts must be original works of the authors and free from any form of plagiarism, whether intentional or unintentional.

2. Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying part or all of the text, data, images, or tables from another work without appropriate citation.

  • Using ideas, methods, or concepts from other publications without proper attribution.

  • Self-plagiarism, which refers to reusing substantial parts of the authors’ previously published work without clear disclosure.

3. Similarity Index  and Screening Procedure 
All submitted manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin or iThenticate).
The journal sets the following criteria:

  • Similarity index is checked, with no plagiarism in substantial sections (introduction, methods, results, and discussion).

  • Similarity in direct quotations, references, or common technical phrases is acceptable if properly cited.

  • The manuscript may be returned for revision or rejected, depending on the severity, if plagiarism is detected.

  • The editor may request additional proof, clarification, or significant revision when necessary.

  • The article will be retracted if plagiarism is discovered after publication

4. Authors’ Responsibilities
Authors are required to:

  • Ensure the originality of their work and provide accurate citations.

  • Clearly declare the reuse of previously published material.

  • Submit a plagiarism-free statement upon manuscript submission.

5. Policy Revision
This policy may be updated at any time by the editorial management to align with evolving ethical publishing standards.
